Description: Reporting to the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors/COO, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator will coordinate, review, enhance, and implement volunteer equity programs and systems that support the CPHS’s recruitment and retention strategies of a diverse volunteer workforce. Anyone that volunteers will be helping to raise much needed funds for the museum, as the museum will receive a donation for your working hours. Description: We are looking for a committed Board Member to serve on the Canadian Pride Historical Society’s Board of Directors. As an Operational Board member, we are looking for someone who will also contribute to CPHS in the area of graphic and video design. Duties & Responsibilities • Knowing the organization's vision, mission, programs, policies, and needs. • Preparing for meetings by reviewing the agenda and supporting documentation. • Regularly attending board and committee meetings and participating actively and conscientiously. • Approving reports, budgets, and business decisions. • Contributing to the development of policies and strategic plans. • Understanding the organization's financial affairs and ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are met. • Ensuring the organization complies with legal requirements. • Maintaining confidentiality on all internal society affairs. Qualifications: • Previous pride board experience would be considered an asset. • Sufficient time availability for board duties.
