Description: Reporting to the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors/COO, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator will coordinate, review, enhance, and implement volunteer equity programs and systems that support the CPHS’s recruitment and retention strategies of a diverse volunteer workforce. Help raise funds for the museum by working the AG IN MOTION event

Description: Hi, we need volunteers to help out with ticket sales & car park duties at the Ag in Motion event out near Langham next week.  Anyone that volunteers will be helping to raise much needed funds for the museum, as the museum will receive a donation for your working hours. You will be required to make your own way out to just west of Langham (approx 40 minutes). Carpark attendants will be needed from 6.30am.  Ticket sales volunteers can arrive later. Description: We are looking for a committed Board Member to serve on the Canadian Pride Historical Society’s Board of Directors.  As an Operational Board member, we are looking for someone who will also contribute to CPHS in the area of graphic and video design. Duties & Responsibilities • Knowing the organization's vision, mission, programs, policies, and needs. • Preparing for meetings by reviewing the agenda and supporting documentation. • Regularly attending board and committee meetings and participating actively and conscientiously. • Approving reports, budgets, and business decisions. • Contributing to the development of policies and strategic plans. • Understanding the organization's financial affairs and ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are met. • Ensuring the organization complies with legal requirements. • Maintaining confidentiality on all internal society affairs. Qualifications: • Previous pride board experience would be considered an asset. • Sufficient time availability for board duties. Nuit Blanche Volunteer for night of and events happening months before festival

Description: Nuit Blanche is a global art movement that arrived in Saskatoon in 2014, and the festival has been held in the city annually since. Overtaking multiple venues and city streets throughout Saskatoon's core neighbourhoods, the festival features projections, sculptures, installations, performances, music, theatre, visual arts, poetry, and other forms of contemporary art.   We’re looking for: Enthusiastic and responsible volunteers who are available for a few events leading up to September 28th (night of the festival) interested in roles such as: Super Novas:  These volunteers are very familiar with the festival, are generally repeat volunteers, and are interested to take on a bit more commitment, responsibility, and leadership. Poster Pals:  Share important information about the festival by putting up festival posters and handing out noise notices a month before festival. This position is a great way to meet new people, get outside, and help keep the city informed as to what we are doing. Happy Accidents Crew:  Often during our festival we have members of the public who simply stumble upon our event. The happy accidents crew are outgoing and informed so they can help tell people who don’t know about the event what is going on. Often this role is best for a repeat volunteer, or someone who is very passionate about the festival. Bouncers:  This position is for those who feel comfortable directing traffic and letting people know where to go. Often it is an early morning commitment to help while the NBYXE team during set up. This allows you to still enjoy the evening festival events! Qualifications: Positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions and work well independently or as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. MS Bike Waskesiu - Event Day Volunteers

Description: MS Bike is the largest fundraising cycling series in North America. Cyclists of all ages and fitness levels across Canada come together each year to end Canada’s disease: multiple sclerosis.  With hundreds of participants, volunteers are needed to help with every aspect of the entire event. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in your community using your talent and time. The 2024 MS Bike - Waskesiu takes place Saturday, September 14th with the event starting and finishing at Waskesiu Community Hall! There are various areas where volunteer help is needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly, and participants have a great experience while they are biking to raise critical funds to support those affected by MS. Some of the roles include: Event Site Set Up/Wrap Up Crew ~Unload supplies and equipment ~Help set up/tear down fencing, tents, tables, chairs, banner & signs ~Decorate and tidy the site, clean up post event Participant Check in ~Manage check in line ups and direct participants ~Provide event info to participants and answer any questions Rest Stop Volunteer ~Help load/unload event vehicles and supplies ~Set up and clean up rest stop area ~Greet and cheer on participant ~Provide refreshments/snacks to the cyclist ~Communicate with team lead regarding supply needs at rest stop or cyclists requesting pick up Food and Beverage Area Support ~Assist in prepping and serving grab-and-go breakfast and coffee ~Beer garden bartenders (requires provincial Serving It Right certificate) ~Beer garden ticket sales and support (must be 19 years of age or older) Interested?
