Canadian Cancer (Sponsorship Lead – CIBC Run for the Cure Saskatoon)

• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over

As a leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025. As the volunteer Sponsorship Lead, you will be responsible for: • Secure food and beverage for event through gift-in-kind sponsorships • Work with committee to identify additional gift-in-kind sponsorship needs • Solicit and secure local gift-in-kind and cash sponsorships   This is a 6-month commitment (May through October). Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly). Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 4-6 hours per month, with increased workload August & September).
