Opportunity Description:

Nuit Blanche is a global art movement that arrived in Saskatoon in 2014, and the festival has been held in the city annually since. Overtaking multiple venues and city streets throughout Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods, the festival features projections, sculptures, installations, performances, music, theatre, visual arts, poetry, and other forms of contemporary art.   We’re looking for: Enthusiastic and responsible volunteers who are available for a few events leading up to September 28th (night of the festival) interested in roles such as: Super Novas:  These volunteers are very familiar with the festival, are generally repeat volunteers, and are interested to take on a bit more commitment, responsibility, and leadership. Poster Pals:  Share important information about the festival by putting up festival posters and handing out noise notices a month before festival. This position is a great way to meet new people, get outside, and help keep the city informed as to what we are doing. Happy Accidents Crew:  Often during our festival we have members of the public who simply stumble upon our event. The happy accidents crew are outgoing and informed so they can help tell people who don’t know about the event what is going on. Often this role is best for a repeat volunteer, or someone who is very passionate about the festival. Bouncers:  This position is for those who feel comfortable directing traffic and letting people know where to go. Often it is an early morning commitment to help while the NBYXE team during set up. This allows you to still enjoy the evening festival events! Qualifications: Positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions and work well independently or as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Past relevant volunteer experience is an asset, but not required. Benefits: Volunteer Swag and a Black Tye Dye Nuit Tee shirt crafting night! Volunteer Glizzy Roast (combined with training). Insider access to festival. Enhance your skills while contributing to your community.
