Library of Things YXE (Librarian Volunteer)

• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over

Description The Librarian Volunteers are the ones on the ground floor; they are the ones at the library interacting with the members face to face. They welcome visitors to our physical space and assist with all aspects of our memberships from inquiries to full registration and borrowing. Duties Greet visitors Check in/out items and prepare reservations. Accept payments for memberships and or donations (Square, cash, online credit) Redirect members to contact us at the info email for item donations when possible Sign up new members Activate new memberships Help maintain cleanliness of the library Reports directly to the Volunteer Coordinator   Expectations 1 shift per month is ideal, new volunteers will be given buddy shifts to help them feel comfortable. We always have two volunteers at a time. Options Tuesdays 5:15-7:45 Saturdays 12:45-4:15
